I don't know what the previous post was talking about. We go to this restaurant at least 4 or 5 times a year since it opened. We love Aruba and go 4-6 times every year. This restaurant is by far the best on the island. The surf and turf is excellent as is the Gianni Vesace steak. The almond encrusted... more

We stay here evey year. I just got back for Jamaica, we try to go somewhere different, but after that trip it is Aruba all the way!! It may not be a high rise with fancy bedding, but there is a little kitchen that saves on drinks and snacks, the bus system is easy to take you anywhere you want... more

We, my wife and I and our son with his wife enjoyed a fantastic stay offour weeks at Beach House Aruba. Kind owners who have turned this place into an oasis of peace on this beatiful island. Well laid out and with different types of appartments. We stayed in two of the garden appartments. The appartments are set up with... more

ARUBA IN GENERAL: We enjoyed our trip to Aruba despite losing half the week to rain. Aruba is a nice island with plenty of great restaurants but it's so Americanized that it doesn't necessarily feel like a Caribbean get-away. The first thing the taxi driver asked us on the way to the hotel from the airport was if we were... more

Just got back from Aruba. My parents spend a month there every winter and took us to MJ as their favorite restaurant. The food was excellent and I had tornados of beef with bernaise and an excellent salad. The restaurant is in a home close to Palm Beach. It glistens with small white lights and torches and most seating is outdoors. There was a duo... more

We stayed at the Hyatt in early Dec 2008. We loved the island and would go back. We liked the hotel despite some troubles, but would likely try a different hotel next time. I know reviews here can get pretty detailed/long and can make one's head spin in short order. To that end, I'll just break mine down into what... more

Heard great things about this restaurant, as you will have no doubt. However the real low-down: The Vibe - mostly outside and with a funky Argentinean decor, laid-back live music, etc. The Food - people go here for the meat (lamb, duck, pork, etc..), however everything else is Olive-Garden-style food at extremely expensive prices that will incite your laugh when... more

The hotel is nicely located on beautiful Palm Beach. There are shaded palapas (get there early) with loungers and sand chairs that you can drag out to the shallow water so you can dip your feet in. Being from California, we were dissappointed that there were NO WAVES. Maybe that's just how the tides are during the summer on Aruba...Our... more

My family and I stayed at the Ocean Club the week before Chistmas and couldn't be happier!! Since it was the week before most kids are out for winter vacation, the resort was virtually empty. The kids, ages 6,7 and 14 pretty much had the pools to themselves as well as the beach. We had a two bedroom villa through... more

Just spent the last week of 2008 at the Marriott Casino in Aruba with our little 17 month old boy. Overall we had a great experience, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful; on arrival we were upgraded from a Garden View to an Ocean View room and this was supposed to be high season. The hotel is clean and... more

We stayed at the Occidental Grand Aruba for the second year, from December 11th through December 16th. We booked a Royal Club room again and it was wonderful. I had no complaints at all. We were treated like royalty, just like we were last year. Please don't listen to any negative reviews. Some people are VERY hard to please. I... more

Nice restaurant, steaks mediocre due to all the butter they use. Too expensive for what you get. Would not choose to eat here again. more

This was a last minute decision as our other travel plans were disrupted by snow conditions. The Westin had the lowest price for a standard room for the time period we wanted (over Christmas). The room was was on the 13th floor, spacious and well appointed with a nice balcony but not a "view" room. That cost extra. The resort... more

Arrived at the Westin 12/19 and stayed through 12/22 - a brief respite. This Westin does not compare to the Westin in Hollywood Florida, nor the Westin Annapolis, Maryland. The exterior needs a makeover and the gardens and beach need help - staff/management needs to notice the burned out bulbs in the outdoor lights and notice the abundance of seaweed... more

We travelled to Aruba from Dec. 14-21 with our 1 yr. old son, and stayed at the Riu. We had amazing weather, and great service at the hotel.
