Posada Vistamar

I stayed at La Posada for a week in December 08. Lisa the manager was friendly and helpful. It's a nice place, away from the busy main street and traffic. Small convenience store nearby. Only thing I didn't like was there's a lot of roosters in the neighborhood and I'm a late riser (unlike roosters). more

Isla Nena is a great little Cafe. Every time I've eaten there the food, the service, and the owners were great! I recommend the breakfast burrito and the cheesebuger....AWESOME!! more

My boyfriend and I had less than 48 hours to spend on Vieques back in October 2008, and we really wanted to scuba dive. We called Blackbeards ahead of time and were told they would only go if there were enough people (which they wouldn't know until the day of) and if they did have enough it would be a... more

The beaches are nice and beautiful, especially Red Beach & Blue Beach. On the other hand we didn't percieve the hospitality of local people (one of the things we were looking for). Not recommended to come if you don't rent a car or dont have the chance to do so. There are taxis you can use for traveling, but you'll... more

Bravo Beach was okay. This is not the side of the island to stay on. The beach is rocky and unswimmable and not blue. I wanted to love the hotel. I liked the decor and the Aveda products, but for $300 plus a night we didn't get any hotwater. I told the front desk immediately that we didn't have any.... more

My husband and I and our friends stayed at Evamer Dec 4-7th and wished it could have lasted much longer. It was such a beautiful place, and I would have loved to been able to spend more time just in our MiraCoca room and the surrounding area. The view from our room was amazing, overlooks the ocean. You can hear... more

The chef is an absolute master in creating completely unique and delightful dishes that make this restaurant a top attraction in all of the Puerto Rician Islands. The setting is so charming and relaxing you'll never want to leave. more

In quality accomodation starved Vieques, this is one of the better places to stay. Located on top of a hll with almost constant trade winds, this B&B is 15 minutes (and $5 per person via publicos) away from the ferry terminal. Terrific fixtures, modern decor, a pool with views of the island and the ocean in the distance make this... more

Casa Alta Vista

My wife and I stayed at Casa Alta Vista for 2 nights in December. Overall, the room was worth the price. The room we had was small but had enough room for two people (assuming you aren't spending much time in the room). The bathroom was sufficient and for the most part clean. We actually had a spectacular view of... more

Tropical Guest House

Dec 30, 2008

My husband and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York City and Vieques was the place. The weather was perfectly hot, the beautiful white sandy beaches; the true blue water and the sites were mesmerizing and swimming in the bioessence bay was an experience. The cobblestone streets in the little towns, the history of... more

We just returned from Vieques. Tha hotel is well located from Esperanza, the beach and the restaurants. The acommodations were simple but very clean with a small fridge and a microwave in the room. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They made our reservations for the Bio Bay tours with Island Adventures and it was perfect. Perfect hotel... more

Esperanza Inn

Dec 29, 2008

My Boyfriend and I have nothing but splendid things to say about Esperanza Inn. The owners were more than happy to accommodate and recommend plenty of activities and places to explore. Our room was clean and decorated true to the Caribbean vibe. We really appreciated the roof top access with picnic chairs and a grill. It was the laid back... more

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at Casa Alta Vista. The hotel was only 5 minutes walk from our favorite breakfast hangout, "Belly Buttons", in the sleepy town of Esperanza. We enjoyed a lazy afternoon lounging on the patio, enjoying both a mountain and ocean view and listening to the random crowing of roosters from surrounding houses.... more

This is no Marriott.....and that is one of the reasons why we chose to come back to La Finca. Located in the hills of Vieques (Puerto Rico), La Finca is in a relaxed setting, with no wake up calls or room service.....instead one goes to sleep under the Caribbean star light and wakes up to the sound of birds (it... more

I am a big nature lover and La Finca brings me into close communion with the earth, sun and water. This was my fourth trip to this place, and will not be my last. I like to come with friends and family to share the pleasure. The big house is spacious and airy with a big porch all around in... more

I celebrated my birthday at El Quenepo and it was ideal for the occasion. Perfect ambience, excellent food (especially the Gnocchi and Spring Rolls), great service and wonderful owners. I echo all the good things other reviewers have said about it. As far as price is concerned, I found it no more expensive than the other upmarket restaurants in Vieques... more

I stayed at the Acacia for one week during a visit to see a friend in Vieques. The owners Jose and Douglas could not have been more welcoming or pleasant! The Studio Apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Contrary to some reviews, it did have A/C but I never used it, as the cool breezes were far preferable. Vieques... more

Stayed at Villa Coral, Isla De Vieques for 3 nights and the stay was really good. Its located about a couple of blocks from Malecon in Esperanza and in a suburb. Ate at Isla Nena Cafe on our first day in Vieques. The food was absolutely awesome.Freshly cooked, good size portions. They have quite a good menu. Vieques is a quiet island off the coast of Puerto Rico. We rented a beautiful house and overall had a great time. Enjoyed some wonderful restaurants ie: El Quenepo, Island Steak House, Blue Crab (formerly Blue Macaw), Isleno, and our favorite breakfast spot, Belly Buttons in Esperanzo. We were even invited to opening night at Coconuts! It's a small island... more
