As you as you drive towards the Burj, you know its special. As soon as we got to the entrance, my car was taken (valet parking), and then began the adventure. .....WOW!!...what a place. My Husband lived in this Hotel for over a year and found it very clean and comfortable, not quite a home from home but it had everything he needed. I visited regularly and was on my own most of the day, i felt completely safe and the staff were always happy to help and very cheerful and tried their best... more
Spent 5 nights at the Royal Meridien last week. The hotel is completely surrounded on the land side by massive construction work 24x7 - huge concrete carcasses of high rise apartment buildings. The hotel is already dwarfed by other buildings and the view from the gardens/beach looking inland is of cranes and concrete ...... Theres a nearby newly built promenade... more
