As a native Mayaguezano visiting my hometown on vacation from the Mainland back in 2007, I found the Parque de los Proceres in an abandoned state. Overgrown grasss, garbage everywhere, polutted foul smell non-working water fountains. Not a pleasant place to visit as a tourist more
