After 10 days of visiting the many wonderful museums in Prague, my husband and I decided to "take a chance" on the Lobkowicz Palace even though it was given just a slight mention in only one of our tour books. We're so glad we saw it. The quality and breadth of this family's collections are truly amazing. Everything about this... more

Best day we had in Prague, where every day was wonderful, spent visiting the Lobkowicz Palace on Castle Hill. Got away from the hoardes of tourists and immersed ourelves in the history of this remarkable family who so generously share their rich heritage and holdings, including manuscripts by Beethoven, paintings by masters, etc., all beautifully presented. Would be of interest... more

We are in Prague for 3 days. We spent the first two around Old Town, Jewish Quarter, etc. Today, we went over to the Castle side by taking the metro, and then tram 22 to Pohorelec stop and walked downhill the whole way. We saw the changing of the guard that was interesting, and then looked at the tours available.... more

Such a charming museum. I think the audio tour is one of the best that I've ever heard. The personal stories, the anecdotes, all the touches that make this palace feel more personal to the visitor. You will learn a lot about the Lobkowicz family and their place in Czech as well as European history and culture. Although I'm sure... more

This is by far the best museum we've been in with such a personal touch! Loved the family stories and anecdotes! It certainly gave so much life to the otherwise ordinary exhibit! TIP: Skip the afternoon classical concert. Although the performers are good, it's a bit too pricey for such a simple performance. Save that money for a concert at... more

Good ol' Trip Advisor, coming through yet again. Prague is the final stop of my euro 2008 tour and I only had 3 days to see everything that I could. Trip Advisor rates the Lobkowicz Palace in Prague Castle as the number on attraction so I had to go check it out. Like most other people I would have totatly... more

If you do nothing else, do this lovely 'palace/house' with the audio tour. What an oasis from the crowds and the cafe was the best meal we've had by far--incredible view and delicious food! We started with an amazing concert in the music room and then toured the palace. We loved the legacy of the Lobkowicz Family--the attention to detail... more

My friend and I just came back from a weekend in Prague. We decided to visit the Lobkowicz Palace on Sunday (29 June) after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. It is certainly the best museum in Prague, and we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and well presented audio tour, led by the current owner of the Palace and his family, supported by... more

We learned about this museum during our trip while browsing TripAdvisor, and I'm very happy that we did. This brand new museum, which opened in 2008, is not in any of the tour books (Rick Steves, Fodors, etc) so it's relatively unknown. However, don't let the fact that it's relatively empty turn you off: inside is a charming look into... more

On our last day in Prague during a recent trip, I searched Tripadvisor for the best things to do in the city and up popped Lobkowicz Palace. My wife and I had walked right past the palace during a visit to Prague Castle earlier in the week, but didn't go in. We would have missed it completely if not for... more
