This is a great tour! The pace is not rushed and you get to see everything up close and personal. It is definetly more work than sitting in one of the many motor boats but more than worth the effort. Do yourself a favour and take the kayaking tour. Really well organised, very interesting and made our trip to Langkawi. Quick warning - your legs are in the open all day: sunscreen, suncsreen, sunscreen. Also, you spend a lot of time paddling. If you have a bad back or bum - do the boat tour. We visited Langkawi in January 2007 and 2008; on both occasions taking a Devs Tour. The first was a late afternoon bird watching tour. We went on the mangrove boat trip. It was very interesting and we saw lots of wildlife. Our guide (the "cobra") was very knowledgeable and seemed like a nice guy.
