so much to see, my advise, take your time, see what you see in the time you have. We strolled the almost the entire museum, stopping at the major items and a few here and there that drew our attention.
This place was truly like being inside of a Tiffany's lamp, a sparkeling jewel. So hard to describe the magnifigance. Seeing the stained glass with the late afternoon sun is glorious. There are not very many signs indicating it's entrance. The church is tucked into the Palais de Justice area and is not really visable from the street. If Notre Dame is on your checklist of sites to see in Paris, take 5 more minutes for this one...it is just down the street.
we did not want to wait in the long ques to go up, enjoyed walking around the enormous feet of the tower...
one of my favorites! It is just the right size and hits on all of the major art types.
5. Notre Dame Cathedral (Cathedrale de Notre Dame de Paris)
wonderful, no photo or video can give you real perspective on it's size and beauty
they do have an elevator! 300+ steps to the top otherwise.
All day tour, quick tour of all the major D-Day beaches, cemetary, lunch, D-Day Museum, Pegasus bridge. New, beautiful coach allows for French country side to be enjoyed all the way there.
beautiful! You can see the Musee Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Arc de Triomphe du Carousel, Place de la Concorde, Musee D'orsay and have a lovely breakfast at an outdoor cafe all in one place.
Ave price: $570
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our first trip to Paris. We are quite picky with our choices and were very pleased with this hotel. Admitted Trip Advisor junkies, we read all the reviews of this hotel and others in Paris before booking our trip. Our big "musts": cleanliness, location, ambiance, and as close to 5 star quality as possible. CLEANLINESS: This hotel was immaculate! Not one complaint. Everything looked and smelled new. The room and bathroom were spotless. LOCATION: tucked just one tiny block off of the Tuilleries Garden entrance on a super quiet street. The Tuilleries Metro stop is maybe a 3 minute walk from the hotel. There are a few bus stops along this route too. There is a small Irish pub just outside, great atmosphere. If you want to be in walking distance of the Louvre, Musee Oârsay, Tuilleries Garden, Place de la Concorde, shopping and your choice of small cafes, this hotel is perfect. AMBIANCE: my husband and I dislike fussy and overly ornate décor. The hotel is beautiful with classic, clean lined furniture and decorations. Not too modern and perfectly comfortable. Huge, ever-changing, flower arrangements add to the elegant feel of the lobby. This small hotel is quiet and pleasant to return to after long days of site seeing. My husband and I rank this hotel with 5 stars. We were treated well, by English speaking staff and had absolutely no issues with this property. We did not utilize the facilities in the hotel. Once we were up, we were out the door and then back after darkâ¦so much to see and do in Paris! Our room was small as most rooms in Europe are. The bed and linens were superior and comfy. Room service food was delicious and quick. I have several photos of hotel, but the .jpeg sizes are too large to upload to this website...too bad. When we return to Paris this hotel will definitely be our first choice!!
