We spent 5 nights at the Best Western when we were exploring Copper Canyon. We enjoyed our stay. The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and found it to be tasty. The rooms were finished in a cabin type style. They were nicely furnished and clean. The gas stove for... more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Western Lodge in Creel. The town itself is a backwoods place with some of that sleepy indolence of old-style Mexico, but the hotel is well-run and looks after its guests well. I have just read some of the negative reviews that others have posted on this site and I can... more

It would seem this is about the best place in Creel to stay and whilst we can´t really complain about anything, the whole style of the place didn´t really excite us. They have tried to create a lodge type feel but it comes across as a little tacky. Considering tourism is the lifeblood of Creel and this hotel, the service... more

We got off the train at Creel on Christmas Eve without a hotel reservation and the town was growing darker and quieter as we walked through. Found the Best Western, they had a room ($110+tax) that was clean and cosy (but kind of dim), the gas heater and hot water supply were excellent, and the hotel lobby offers internet access... more

Before we arrived at this hotel, other travelers told us that it was "very Americanized". You can argue whether that's a good thing or not, but in this case, it's a superficiality that does no one good. Indeed, upon arrival we noted it looks like a typical Best Western motel, plucked out of a mountain setting in a working-class American... more

We spent two nights at the Best Western Lodge at Creel. We enjoyed the decor. They went all the way with the 'hunting lodge' theme and we enjoyed the warmth of all the wood, and of the gas stove for heat in the rooms. It was warm enough for shorts and t-shirt during the day, but at night it got... more

This hotel has a mountain lodge ambience, perfect for Creel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the grounds pleasant. The hotel offers an impressive menu of reasonably-priced tours ranging from 2 hrs to 2 days. We booked a 4 hour local tour, which was fascinating and well worth it. Fortunately we speak a little Spanish -- our guide didn't... more

We stayed at the Best Western at Creel for the 4th of July. Our big group of 15, with people ranging in ages from 2yrs to 62yrs, was treated very well. The staff did a great job accomodating us for breakfast and dinner for 3 days. Rooms are a good size and very clean. If we ever do it again,... more

This is definitely the best hotel in Creel. Our independent group of 4 did the 2 hour tour. The dining room had mediocre service. The food is not really authentic Mexican but more American-Mexican designed for the elderly travelers. There is a delightful coffee bar housed next to the hotel which were were more impressed with than the hotel restaurant... more
