What a fantastic hotel! Clean, comfortable, modern very helpful staff and great restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and will definately be staying there when Im next in Tokyo. Although it is not located right in the centre of Tokyo it is 2 minutes walk to nearest subway station and there are always plenty of taxis waiting.... more

Contrary to previous review, I find this hotel quite good. I had no problem speaking to hotel staff in English and breakfast is nice. The best thing about this hotel is its location, 2-minute walk to Kudanshita Metro station and 10-minute walk to Iidibashi JR station. Although it is in a business area, there are plenty of places to go... more

Spent a few days here on a group tour. Would agree with other reviews - the hotel is a little dated and needs upgrading. However, breakfast was adequate and the location was not that bad. There is a metro stop very close and very easy to follow. there are probably better hotels/locations in the city but at the same time... more

What did I think of the Grand Palace Hotel in Tokyo, Japan? Not a lot. This hotel is so typical of what I find depressing when travelling on business. It is a large, very dated and beige hotel situated out of the main buzzing centre of town in a suburb full of uninspiring office blocks. It gets a busy and... more

Stayed at this hotel 4D/3N with a big group for both business and pleasure. Lobby was really huge although seems quite worn off. Hotel was clean from the lobby, rooms and dining areas. Location was near subway stations although I would advise getting personalized tour packages to be able to offset any unfamiliarity with the place and the language barrier... more

Stayed at this hotel during a vacation in Tokyo. The Grand Palace Hotel is not in a prime location although it is conveniently located around 5 minutes walk from at least two subway stations. Depending on whether you walk left or right from the hotel entrance, you will end up in either the Kudanshita or Iidabashi station. The hotel has... more

The Grand Palace is an excellent tourist-class hotel, with an above-average location for travellers and comfortable, clean rooms. A subway stop is just down the street and there are a variety of restaurants and grocery stores (including Western-style good offerings) just around the hotel, which make this a good choice for travellers. The top-floor bar offers some nice nighttime views,... more

Great hotel with a great location. In the middle of the city and very close to the Metro line. Beds are a bit hard for American standards. Breakfast and dinner buffet is good offering Japanese and American style dining with a view of their waterfall wall. Concierge could speak better English, but an informed traveler can get around without him.... more

We spent two nights at this hotel in early January, 2007. Service: Excellent. Staff speaks good enough English. Overall Hotel Atmosphere: Wonderful Room and Bathrooms: No complaints at all Hotel Location: Not in the centre of the touristy part of town but we did not mind. It is 2 subway stations to Ginza and other shopping districts. This was our... more
