Spent a few days here on a group tour. Would agree with other reviews - the hotel is a little dated and needs upgrading. However, breakfast was adequate and the location was not that bad. The Grand Palace is an excellent tourist-class hotel, with an above-average location for travellers and comfortable, clean rooms. This is a very nice hotel, we got in very early but they got us into our rooms by 7am. lobby was huge, restaurant was good, toilets were fantastic and clean and hi tec. rooms were large and spacious. clean and well decorated. toilets were again well stocks with everything. the location is just behind the imperial war memorial close... more

Great hotel with a great location. In the middle of the city and very close to the Metro line. Beds are a bit hard for American standards. Breakfast and dinner buffet is good offering Japanese and American style dining with a view of their waterfall wall.
