Overall I really liked this hotel. The local area is really lively. Tokyo taxis are expensive of course, but for local public transport you only need to take a ten minute walk to a giant subway station. It's almost an underground city. You can get there completely underground through tunnels, which I really appreciated this Winter! I hope they can... more

I was booked in here for two nights after staying in the Keio Plaza last week and The Kanko Nagoya for the past few days. It was booked through ASIA rooms who said this was a 4* hotel - but it so is not!! On arrival, the person at the information desk very gruffly sent me upstairs without explaining where... more

With JR Station having an underground walkway built directly linking to the hotel, for people who are independent travellers wanting to explore Tokyo, this hotel does provide excellent convenience. On my last day in Tokyo which was a rainy day, I could explore around the department stores, did some shopping and had my lunch before going back to the hotel... more

This is my leisure trip and travelling with my husband. It is far away from subway station and shopping area, we need to walk around 15 minutes everyday. So you did exercise enough on every day eventhough they don't have GYM Room. If you are a foreigner, they had strongly and highlight to put the signage/note to ask you go... more

The Shinjuku Washington is great for location and service. It's a five minute walk from the South Entrance of Shinjuku station. You can anticipate a very small room, but is clean and almost cozy. Free internet and if you book through Asia Rooms you might get a free breakfast too. There are 6 restaurants to choose from. My advice is to... more

My family and 1 stayed at Shinjuku Washington from 1 - 8 Aug 2008 and booked 2 rooms between the 5 of us. I had subjected the reception of the hotel to a long drawn email QnA session to clarify all our doubts before making a booking. I have to commend them for always being polite and answering my questions... more

I was provided with a single room at above 20 floors. Though the room is small but not Claustrophobic. Room has all basics. TV Channels are very limited especially for the foreign tourists. Attached bath is too small but water closet is fitted with modern gadgets and very hygienic. But i was mesmerized with the night scene of the Tokyo... more

I have been surprised by some of the reviews on this hotel. People seem to compare this hotel to international hotels in the US or in Europe and you just can't do that. Hotels and apartments in Tokyo are typically small. The Japanese are great at maximizing usable space and this hotel is no exception. You are paying for the... more

This is the worst hotel in Shinjuku. Unless you have no other alternative, this hotel is to be avoided. No matter what the price, it is too much. Paper thin walls, plastic sheets on the beds, rude staff, tiny rooms, no windows.. it is an awful place. EXAMPLE; I left clothes in to be laundered. I wrote on the ticket... more
