We just returned from staying at the Riu Palace on November 20, 2008. What a WONDERFUL experience it was! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left...we could not have asked for better accomodations, food & service by all the staff. Everyone was helpful & friendly. Our room was BEAUTIFUL! In reading the reviews before we booked, we... more

PLEASE BEWARE!!! Friends and I booked the Riu after staying at many other Riu properties. We were very excited that it had opened in ARUBA and couldn't wait to go away. I have 4 buddies that I go away with every year in early October for vacation. This was their first time to Aruba and we couldn't wait to get... more

I recently stayed at the RIU in Aruba and got very sick due to a bad odor and smell in the room .I noticed alot of mold in the bath room and all around the air condition vents. The ceilings have cracks in them. You can see water stains on the walls. When I told the manager RICHARD VELASCO he... more

We recently stayed at the Riu for 5 nights and this was our second visit. We enjoyed the hotel and found the property and the staff to be excellent. The bartenders and waitstaff were always smiling and treated us great. Never once did any of them act as if they should be tipped for their services but were appreciative of... more

The service was great...all the employees were were friendly and eager to please. The room was nice...marble floors, nicely decorated, mini bar restocked everyday, housekeeping did nice job maintaining clean, our room was in the main building (i think buidling A) and had a great view of the ocean and pool area. The food was good...the breakfast buffet and lunch... more

My wife and I stayed at the RIU Palace Aruba from 10/21/08 to 10/28/08. We stayed in the ‘B” Building on the tenth floor. The room was large with a king size bed and sitting area. The bed for me was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. We had a great view from our balcony of the pool... more

My husband and I just got back from a trip to Aruba. We were initially booked at Riu Palace. We arrived, checked in and hung out at the pool for the afternoon. We had locked up our room, safe and suitcases in the closet. We went to dinner for about 3 hours and came back to find that our room... more

OK—This is the definitive review of the Riu Palace Aruba---Read this if going to Aruba! My girlfriend and I went to the RIU PALACE for a week in Oct. We are both 24 years old, the youngest people of all we met. There were a lot of couples in late 20’s/30’s range, very few kids the first few days (when... more

When I was planning / researching this trip for November New Jersey teacher's convention week, I had in mind 2 things: I wanted to be outside of the hurricane belt and I wanted an All-inclusive resort so that I didn't have to worry about feeding kids' fickle appetite. The Riu Aruba fit the bill though it was my first time... more

OUR ARRIVAL: Our honeymoon stay was from October 20-26th, 2008 in Aruba which was a first time to the country for both of us. Our flight left out of Charlotte, NC and was a bit early getting into Aruba on that Monday - which was nice! We chose to take the cab ride from the airport to the Riu which... more
