We were looking for value and a family friendly atmosphere. The suite and kitchen set-up, plus pools and beachfront were what drew us to the hotel - and it was highly recommended by Expedia. To say that we were disappointed with our experience, unfortunately, would be an understatement. From the moment we entered our original room, we were overpowered by... more
My Fiance and I just retured home from Acapulco, after staying a week there at this hotel. When we first got to the Hotel it was really hard to find someone that spoke english, but after we went to the fron counter, some of the staff spoke pretty good english. The Hotel is well upkept, and the staff working there... more
We'd stayed at Fiesta (Posada) chains in Cancun & loved them so when our travel agent said they were having a promotion in Acapulco, we jumped on it. I'd heard stories about the long check-in process but we didn't experience any problems. Not only was it a breeze, but we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite. The suite consisted of... more
Stayed a little over a week (today is the last day); had the junior suite; requested well in advance a high floor (they go up to 19), but instead ended up on the 2nd floor, which was a bit of a disappointment; the view was excellent nevertheless. The hotel is centrally located in the Golden Zone. There are 4 or... more
I confirmed with the hotel that our flight's arrival would be late night. 24 hours later I got a call from a gal from the hotel to confirm our arrival. I was puzzled, informing Megalina that we had already confirmed. She asked if she could arraign a taxi for us. I said yes. She told us it would be $35... more
Perhaps, choosing the Cinco de Mayo holiday (5 May) to visit these parts was not the wisest decision. It seemed that the "whole of Mexico" descended on this Beach in Acapulto, and the vendors were having a blast. One could hardly relax! We would recommend the City Tour (Viator's was cheapest), to include the Divers and the beautiful "Fairmont Princess"... more
My boyfriend and I booked a room at Fiesta Americana April 5-12, 2008. Overall, our experience was more than satisfactory. It is in the middle of alot of stuff...and Stabucks was connected to our hotel ( a bit touristy maybe). At any rate, the staff was friendly. Check in wasn't too difficult. Free Wi-fi around the lobby and a business... more
I started my trip to Acapulco at another wonderful Hotel, but left to Ixtapa and came back to stay at the Fiesta Americana. As we had been in Acapulco for quite a few days before coming back, we were excited about The Fiesta Americana's wonderful central location to the restaurants and nightlife. Walking into the Hotel we were overrun by... more
We did as ladies trip to Mexico, 2 single women, mid 30's. We booked this trip thru MLT vacations (the last week they offered it so that we would miss the spring breakers!). Transported to the hotel and checked in very fast and very polite staff. Our room was nice and faces the opposite side of the clubs. Very quiet... more
