My girlfriends and I stayed at the Grand Mayan Acapulco in late October. I guess we lucked out and got an ocean view room because it was the off-season, but our room was beautiful and well appointed. The beach, pool and whole property was very stunning and we had a lovely time at the hotel. I also found the staff... more

We spent two weeks at the Grand Mayan and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and the daily service was excellent. The pools were cleaned daily and were a lot of fun. They have an excellent children's pool area. We ate several meals at the resort and were pleased with the quality. We took several tours of... more

We stayed at the Grand Mayan from 11/1 to 11/8 and it is truly a mega-resort. The grounds are outstanding and of course the pool is tremendous. We found all staff to be very friendly and accomodating. It seems that the motto of the resort is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN every where you look you will find people cleaning from floor... more

Roberto Alarcon is the real deal! All of the reviews here do not even do him justice, he is the best. Roberto owns and runs a tour guide and transportation service in Acapulco. He is always on time, flexible, and speaks excellent English. He also has the best local restaurant recommendations - Su Casa, Linda Vista, and El Oviedo. Roberto... more

Our vacation was made even more fantastic after we were introduced to Roberto Alarcon. He provided us with excellent and dependable transportation. He spoke very good English and made very good use of the time we spent with him. His fees were fair. We highly recommend him for your next vacation to the Grand Mayan. more

I went to Acapulco for the first time this past weekend with a group of friends. The entire experience was absolutely fantastic! I have to start by raving about Roberto Alarcon! He picked us up at the airport, drove us wherever we wanted to go, made suggestions when asked and was just a blast, in general! He has great English,... more

We attended in Sept. 2008 with one other couple. We are both mid 30's couples and we wanted a place to relax, have a bunch of drinks, hang out at the pool/beach, have some good meals, etc. I'm just going to list the good/bad/etc via bullet points. We all would definitely go here again. I'm not sure of the price... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Mayan Acapulco from August 30, 2008 thru September 6, 2008. This was a timeshare exchange through HSI. I had read great reviews on the resort and tour guide Roberto Alarcon. Let me tell you, the resort and Roberto lived up to their reputation. I had called the resort two weeks prior to... more

Upon arrival, we were thankfully upgraded from the Mayan Palace to the Grand Mayan, and we could see why. From the outside, the Mayan Palace was falling apart (literally, there were pieces missing) and the entrance to each room looked so depressing. The Grand Mayan on the other hand was brand new in its appearance and had beautifully modern furnished... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Mayan Acapulco September 21-28. It was our first trip to Acapulco. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette, living room, and balcony with plunge pool. Our room had a view of the golf course and mountains. We found this view to be more desirable than an ocean view. Our trip... more
