I stayed for a week in November and had a great time. It was my first vacation to Mexico and I really appreciated the friendliness of the place and the other guests and Bill our host. Most of the other guests were couples but I found it easy even on my own to have a great time with all the... more

This place totally didn't meet our expectations. Before you book, here are 4 things you need to know: 1) The bathrooms don't have a door - literally you can see the toilet from the middle of the room. The smell alone is reason enough to have a door, to say nothing of TMI with your partner; some privacy is a... more

This was our 4th year in Puerto Vallarta. Our home away from home is the Villa David. The owners, David and Bill are wonderful and warm hosts. The property is well-cared for and has amazing views of PV. The morning breakfast is quite plentiful with an great assortment of food. If you don't like the menu, Bill is more than... more

This was our second visit to Villa David. We've planned a third for next month and have already booked our stay here for January, 2009. We have nothing but high praise for the hosts, Bill and David. It is a charming villa in the historic part of town. The interior of the villa is spacious and open. The sccomodations, friendliness... more

My partner and I had never been to Mexico before, but knew many people who had. Everyone we knew stayed at one of the major resort type hotels in Nuevo Vallarta (The new, very Americanized Vallarta). We began our search there and then realized that it was quite far away from the gay beaches, restaurants and nightclubs. So, once we... more

Eric and I stayed at villa David 7 nights. The view from our room was crowned with a beautiful sunset every night. The first few mornings and nights were very quiet so we kept our balcony doors open all the time to enjoy the wonderful tropical breeze. For the other days, the noise from the construction site across from us... more

My partner and I spent four nights here and were overwhelmed by Villa David's beauty and comfort. The location was great for us: we enjoyed walks around Villa David's charming neighborhood and the incredible sea and mountain vistas, seemingly at the turn of every street corner! The beach and nightlife are within easy walking distance (at least for those that... more

My partner and I stayed at Villa David in February 2007. The guesthouse is located on the old part of town, close to the cathedral, very charming but quite steep hills and many steps. The rooms are arranged around an inner courtyard almost completely take over by a pool. During our visit of four days we did not see anyone... more

It's been about a year since our second stay at Villa David and we wish we could go back this year. Bill and the house boys took great care of us, and Bill's breakfasts are something to look forward to. Even though the house is up a fairly steep walk and not by the beach, the location was excellent for... more
