I went to Pilar's cooking course and got a good start for my home try at cooking mole for friends. Pilar is very patient and helpful and passionate about her and Mexican cooking. AShe also has a warm and special personality. Her restaurant -La Olla - is small but excellent for the mole negro I had. I didn't stay at... more

We dined at La Olla - exceptional! We took cooking classes with Pilar - what a fantastic experience! We spent two nights at Casa de los Sabores. Comfy, clean accommodations. The street noise was a problem but I don't know if you can stay anywhere near the Zocolo and not have street noise. The staff was fantastic. Breakfast was wonderful. more

We had an excellent 4 night stay at Las Bugambilias and i would recommend it very highly - very clean, very spacious and comfortable room with balcony and excellent breakfasts. The staff were also extremely pleasant and helpful and the free international calls and internet were an added bonus. I would happily recommend Oaxaca and Las Bugambilias to anyone travelling... more

Las Bugambilias is a gem of a B&B. The place is beautifully decorated, the staff, extremely helpful, the food amazing and the accomodation, very comfortable. We stayed in the suite with our two young-adult daughters and found it spacious, quiet (despite the restaurant being outside our door), clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was very delicious and a... more

Las Bugambilias was a perfectly-located, immaculate, beautiful, fun place to stay. Everyone who worked there was helpful, skilled, and kind. Fellow guests were a fun mix, and the food was great. more

Casa del Las Bugambilias is without doubt one of the most pleasant B & Bs we have ever stayed at. The room was delightfully large, tastefully and well furnished, as was the whole building. Design of spaces was architecturally excellent as was the standard of Mexican art displayed. Breakfast was consistently varied and tastefully presented. Service at all levels was... more

We had a wonderful stay here. We arrived the tuesday before thanksgiving day and we had been travelling all day to get there. The first person to greet us was Silvia and it felt as though we had known her for years. Everything about our stay was perfect from start to finish. If you stay here, and you should, try... more

We stayed for 6 nights late Nov 2008. Absolutely perfect visit. Location is great, very central and near Oaxacas main sites. Hotel is lovely, modern building behind colonial house, with communal sofa areas, free wifi, large library of mexican books to browse, terraces, canaries singing. Very secure and safe. Gay friendly. Rooms are well appointed, interestingly decorated and comfortable. Breakfast... more

In november 2008 my husband and I stayed for 2 nights in Las Bugambilias, which is very centrally located in Oaxaca. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is amazing and very copious, and since you have breakfast at one long table with all the other guests, people tend to make new friends there. The room was very... more
