La Reve is a nice hotel until you check out. Everything is priced in US dollars and unless you have US dollars to pay with, you are going to pay their jacked up exchange rate. In our case it was about 15% higher. If you leave your room charges on your credit card, you are presented with a bill showing... more

I stayed as a "solo traveller" @ Le Reve in early December. The place is secluded, but easy to reach (as in previous review, I used the Azul Fives road and it was quite easy, around 20 minutes to Playa and mostly bc. of traffic lights). The rooms were basic, but one can find design and classy touches all over... more

I stayed at Le Reve with my fiance for a long week-end and we had a blast ! The place is beautiful, secluded, peaceful and quiet ; it has a home feeling to it and the staff really makes everything they can to make sure you're having a great time, while respecting your privacy. The size of the property also... more

My wife and I stayed at Le Reve for 3 nights in early December, as the 4th stop on our 2 week honeymoon along the Riviera Maya. We really tried to like this place (obviously its our honeymoon so being critical is the last thing on our minds), but there were just too many negatives and we left pretty disappointed.... more

We were seeking a place to have our wedding we literaly walked the entire Playa del Carmen Beach looking for a hotel that wasnt the typical All Inclusive Resort. we were told of this new hotel called Le Reve, they told us that it would be hard to get there since it was concieved as a "Very Exclusive Place". Once... more

My wife and I were at a Convention at Merida and thought it would be a good idea to spend three additional nights at Playa del Carmen. I rented a car at Merida and drove stopping for lunch at Valladolida (great place) and since the sunsets at around 5.15 pm when we got to Playa del Carmen it was dark.... more

Extremely beautiful setting. The grounds are immaculate, the design of the pool, restaurant and rooms is very chic. All the staff were very pleasant to us (Henry with his big smile especially). We stayed in a beach bungalow and the bed was very comfortable, with beautiful linens. The Ipod in the room was a nice touch. One other advisor pointed... more

We stayed at Le Reve last week, we actually live in the area but decided to go over there to celebrate our annivrsary for at least one night, we had heard so many good things about this hotel so we decided to try it. Our stay was really good, above average but it wasn't excellent. It was complicated to find... more

We just returned from a 5 night stay that was the second part of our honeymoon in the Riviera Maya. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in one of the beachfront rooms with the private plunge pool, and it was amazing - we woke up to watch the sunrise every morning over the Caribbean, and fell asleep to the... more

On the plus side Le Reve is small, quiet, with a fantastic location on the beach and with excellent views from the premium rooms. The setting is tranquil, although with a large hotel being constructed about 200m to the north, it remains to be seen if this will be so in future. Our large room on the top floor was... more
