Great location, decoration a little austere perhaps but the staff are friendly and helpful. Room only of average size, but it did have opening windows, always a bonus. You can always tell the true class of a hotel when something goes wrong, do they make it worse or do they make it go away? Because of a unique set of... more

Stayed at this lovely hotel 3 nights. The staff was incredibly nice. The concierges (all three of them) were the best that I have ever dealt with, and I can be a demanding customer!! Very clean room. Large bathroom. Comfortable beds - fun turndown service. Cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. Great location for shopping and getting around... more

Stayed at this property for two nights. Very warm welcome from the doorman and a quick and easy check in. Loved the rooms, large and well appointed with a bed that I did not want to get out of. Bathroom was large with separate shower which is nice. If you go in the summer they have a really fantastic outdoor... more

I stayed in this hotel in January2007 Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly, specially the 2 ladies at guest service desk.. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds,, from our window you could see the CN tower, Only down side was it, outside was so cold, like -6, as I come from Sunny Bolton, it never... more

I stayed at the hotel this month and had a great experience. I travel for business a lot, but this stay was pure pleasure. The check in process was really quick and the doorman was very fast and polite. The comfy beds, and big rooms made our stay really enjoyable. The hotel is located in Yorkville and is surrounded by... more

This hotel, unlike other four and five star hotels, bills your credit card right away and has a no-refund policy for reservations. Most hotels have a 24 hour or even a same-day cancelation policy, not these people. So if your plans are subject to change, these people are going to rob you. In my case, I modified my reservation online... more

Our opinion of this hotel was certainly affected by the fact that we had just stayed at the excellent Sofitel in Montreal. The Intercon suffered in comparison. Although I had booked reasonably well in advance and asked for adjacent rooms, the best they could do was the same floor. The rooms were big enough but brown walls don't do much... more

The hotel met all our expectations until our mother, who was traveling with us, had a stroke and was hospitalized. Initially we were told by the asst. manager, who was running the front desk, that we would be able to extend our stay until she was discharged. The next day when we returned from the hospital and found we were... more

A group on friends were going on a boat cruise in Lake Ontario and I suggested we try and book a few rooms downtown so there would be no rush to get home after the cruise. I found the Intercontinental through Hotwire, they had it rated as a four and a half star hotel, I would call them a four... more

Loved this hotel! We were upgraded to a junior suite - very comfortable. We booked the Royal Ontario Museum package that included a wonderful breakfast (we used room service) and parking as well as ROM tickets. This hotel is right across the street from ROM and in the heart of shopping and restaurants of Yorkville. A wonderful location. The staff... more
