I stayed at this hotel on dec 27/08. I am orginally from Toronto, i have stayed at many hotels around the world. I paid $89 canadian for one person in a room with a double bed. The hotel is located just one block from the subway in the heart of downtown, great location. The lobby is older but pleasant, the... more

This is one of the cheapest place to stay for downtown toronto.. but like the title says.. you get what you paid for... the room isnt exactly clean although i didn't find it dirty. decor...is um...none existant..its a place to sleep and leave basically the heater was quite loud..but not loud enough to keep you awake. the front desk was... more

Stayed here, largely because the room was $109. Booked for five nights. Reception was terrible - my key wouldnt open the lock after four attempts up and down in the lift, before the girle eventually moved me to a room with working lock - i think she thought it was me. On the plus side, I did enjoy her drawing... more

This is a very poor hotel. It is not clean and to say that the rooms are tired would be an understatement. Forget the free breakfast. The coffee was undrinkable. Additionally, if you are visiting the U of Toronto, be ready for a lengthy walk. Look for somewhere else. more

Chose this hotel at the last minute. Very friendly staff, but the hotel doesn't have that many rooms so it's definitely a "Mom and Pop" operation. Bring your confirmation number with you as their computer system wasn't initally able to find my reservation. The hotel is really in need of renovation and updating. If you only want a clean room,... more

Looked around for an affordable hotel in downtown Toronto and was really pleased with this place. It was clean, and in one of the best neighbourhoods in Toronto. The Royal Ontario Museum is steps away, as are great and affordable restaurants and the Metro/Subway is a block away. The beds were comfortable, neighbourhood was quiet at night, very friendly staff,... more

We arrived to toronto ( I had booked the Royal York, Fairmont) to learn that my travel agent had booked the wrong night. There was absolutely NOTHING else in Toronto ( the concierge at the Fairmont was kind enough to phone everyone in the city) because of some Boston Redsocks game here in town. The Fairmont had to sadly turn... more

4 of us stayed here for 3 nights in July 2007. We stayed in a family room which had a very small bathroom. Very quiet part of town in Yorkville. No problems with noise, we didn’t hear anyone talking in the room next door nor did we hear any noise on the street. I think we were facing a block... more

Disappointing hotel - looks like it hasn't been renovated in 20 years. Cleanliness was not good. Definitely wouldn't stay there again. However location was good and it was reasonably priced - so if you are prepared to comprise then it will be fine. more

Stayed at this hotel Friday and Saturday night. It is a bargain for the area. This area seems to be pretty upscale, with Whole Foods and lots of shopping close by. When I booked I tried more expensive hotels but they were just out of my price range for a summer weekend. The bathroom looked recently renovated, and the room... more
