Was very impressed by this hotel - the first Sofitel I've stayed in. We had two adjacent corner rooms with an outside door, which was perfect with two children as we could leave the bedroom doors open. Very clean, bright rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Didn't eat in the hotel or use room service so can't comment on that. Three... more

Wonderful hotel. Service is great, location great. Rooms, beds, bathrooms very nice. After shopping or sightseeing all day it was so nice to walk in to the smell and looks of the candles in the lobby. When I rode the elevator another woman commented on how nice the hotel is. more

We recently stayed at the Sofitel for a long weekend and had an amazing time. The staff and service at the hotel are exceptional and better than any other place I've stayed at in Montreal (I've pretty much stayed in all the 4 and 5 star hotels). The rooms are clean and modern. We had a suite which was very... more

I stayed here for two nights in October 2007. Check-in was prompt and friendly. The room was very nice and comfortable. The food in the restaurant (French cuisine) was excellent although expensive. The bar area was rather small with seating for about 20. During the weekday evening the bar gets rather crowded with local office workers up to about 8pm so... more

Exactly what I expect from a 5 star Hotel (very clean, trendy, luxurious, great service, amazing staff, 5 stars amenities, great layout, comfortable trendy rooms,..etc), except for the breakfast and views from your rooms (breaksfasts are too pricey for what they are. They also lack for freshness since I found my benedict eggs to be cold and fruits not that... more

I just returned from a weekend at the Sofitel and had an overall pretty good experience. I did find it to be a little bit pretentious. I stayed in a Deluxe King which I booked on Expedia during a 24 hour sale. I don't know if I would pay the regular rate of $285/night. Parking is $30/day however we parked... more

I stayed at the Sofitel for my 30th B-day and I was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and modern and the customer service is beyond top notch! more

This was our second stay. The place is just terrific. The rooms are nicely decorated and I love the giant closet with all the shelves, easy to pack and unpack. The bathrooms are great (though the glass shower doors do leak) The only problem we encountered was with housekeeping. They came fairly late, around 3-4 PM and returned at 6PM... more

Great rooms, excellent service, expensive. I didn't eat at the hotel, didn't buy the internet service, didn't spend one penny beyond the room, parking ($30) and taxes. I had a great stay. The location is convenient for driving to/from, subway, etc. A bit far from Old Montreal, but we walked it in 20 minutes or so. more

This hotel is so well located near the high end stores, McGill and Mount Royal. It is modern, bright and very well run. We belong to Sofitel Privelege so were upgraded and given an early checkin and late checkout. The bar and restaurant are attractive but very modern. I booked the wrong dates online with no changes allowed but the... more
