We arrived at the Lakeshore Lodge on a beautiful Saturday on Sept. 13, 2008. There were no problems and were able to check in early. The room was on the top floor, 403 and the only thing I would want anyone to know is the walls are pretty thin. We had no complaints as it was very quiet but were... more

Very nice location on the beach. The young woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Every room has a lake view, although because the hotel is L-shaped, it appears the views are better from some rooms than others. As the photo shows, the building has a wing that goes toward the beach, so a couple of rooms... more

We began our one week, first ever vist to Lake Tahoe at Lakeland Village. We moved to Lakeshore Lodge because this unit was on the sand. This unit looked like it was just remodeled. The furnishings looked newer and definitely upscale. This is a one bedroom unit, which is privately owned and decorated. The sofa and chair were plush, the... more

I could not believe what a dump this was. The only good thing was the view but it is not worth staying in this place. The rooms are old and outdate. The beds are hard. The bathroom was so small the door would hit the toilet when you opened it. Only a shower no tub. When out on the balcony... more

I have never spent as much as I did on this room. At $187 inc tax I got a corner suite with a kitchenette. I was told this was the least expensive room and that I was upgraded for free because it was out of season on a weekday late in the afternoon. Staff was very friendly. The room is... more

Unfortunately I didn't check TripAdvisor before booking and staying at this hotel. The hotel is old- and has not been updated in a very long time (maybe never). It was built in the 60s. Well to be honest the shower was remodeled. The view is beautiful, but you can see the lake from just about anywhere and it's not worth... more

The location is perfect! it has a wonderful view of the lake, but the place is very old and it seems that they have not renewed anything since they opened it. So far is the oldest hotel in the area. It is imposible to sleep because you can hear the people on the upper bedroom walking at nights or the... more

I took my husband this last weekend to Tahoe and Reno for Memorial Day. The weather was very cold and it even snowed a few times, but being from Tucson, Arizona we enjoyed it. The Lodge was very old and the carpets need to be replaced, however the view was wonderful and it was close to every thing. We stayed... more

My husband and I stayed at Lakeshore Lodge for 3 nights during the second weekend in May 2008. Having read the reviews prior to making reservations, I felt comfortable with the minor shortcomings of the hotel in exchange for a lakefront location with a gorgeous view. We found a great rate on Orbitz for $99 per night. It was so... more
