Impossible to explain just how bad this hotel is. Many of the rooms have a extremely strong stench of stale cigarettes. On complaining one of the guests was informed that she didn't say that she wanted a non-smoking room when she booked (strange bearing in mind this is apparently a 'no smoking' hotel. I really don't understand what some people have to complain about. The hotel is lovely, its is a little tired looking but as Barcelo have recently taken I assume that they will invest in the future. Had a great stay at this hotel, I read some of the reviews on here and I cannot understand what people are moaning about!. Great location set in lovely grounds great for getting around the north Costwalds. Restaurants great food lovely for breakfast and dinner Staff fantastic helpful, polite. Gym also well worth a go in. We went for a weekend break with the 2 children and had a great time. we used the leisure centre which was well equipped and clean. The pool was excellant which the children really enjoyed, whilst my wife use the beauty treatments which she too enjoyed. The bar was ok - not ideal for children but you could sit outside.... more
