My wife and I have staying at the Derwentwater Hotel for numerous years; it was always and is a very pleasant and relaxing hotel with the needs of the customers being fully met. Went to the Derwentwater Hotel and found it a delightful place. The rooms were clean and tidy and the relaxed atmosphere excellent. The service in the restaurant was very good and the waiters/waitresses were very conscientious. The reception was very helpful, giving advice on good places to go. This is quite simply the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, not a cheap stay either. Everywhere is incredibly tired looking, dated beyond belief, very seventies and not particularly clean.
