I've stayed at this hotel a number of times now, and each stay has been very comfortable. The location is very central (directly next to the train station) and the lobby is quite grand. The rooms are spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The staff are first class and the rates (if you go to the right website) can be excellent.... more

We stayed at The Queens for a 2-night weekend Christmas shopping break in mid-December. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was up-to-scratch in all departments. Our room was on the fifth floor and had a view over the City Square which I had requested. It was spotlessly clean, with an excellent power-shower and good amenities, including Sky Sports so... more

Just enjoyed an excellent 2 night stay at this hotel. Ideally located for shops, bars and restaurants which are less than 2 min walk away. Given a very warm welcome and friendly servce by all hotel staff during our stay. We used the hotel car park which seemed value for money. Our inclusive meal in the hotel restaurant was good... more

Staryed for three nights as part of a weekend seminar, so my experience was as part of a delegation rather than solo traveller. Agree with other reviewer about "The Shining" influence in the corridors! Spooky. I'm very fond of Art Deco so the decor was ok by me, but a bit gloomy. Lighting in the rooms is totally inadequate, and... more

Stumbled across this place, literally, having missed a connecting train at Leeds station and needing a place to stay the night. The hotel is perfectly located as part of the station, presumably having been the old railway hotel. I was very pleased having 'phoned reservations to be offered a room for £90 and upgraded to a Junior Suite on account... more

My partner and i enjoyed our brief stay at the Queens last Saturday night. The hotel is in a fantastic location for the city centre and our room was clean with a good bed and power shower. My only warning is that rooms on the front of the hotel suffer from traffic noise as there is no double glazing -... more

As a regular visitor to Leeds, this was the first time I'd stayed at the Queens (the decision being helped by a promotional rate on their website). The Queens, like The Midland in Manchester, is a former railway hotel now managed by QHotels, and the location (adjacent to the station) couldn't be better. Unfortunately, even on the fifth floor, external... more

we stayed for one night on 25/10/08 we were a party of four, the hotel was of a good standard [the rooms a little dark for the other couple but i liked the decor] the breakfast was very good but what made this hotel was the staff, they could not have been more helpfull and friendly,as were all the staff in the... more

Having lived in Leeds some years ago the last time I was at the Queens it was a run of the mill hotel. I chose it for my stay in Leeds to attend a function due to its proximity to the station and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. The room was much larger than normal, well... more

We have stayed at the Queens a couple of times and cannot fault it. On this visit we were upgraded to a junior suite on the eight floor nice, large and peaceful. The decor is art noeveau style and appears a bit old fashioned however thats just a matter of taste. What we like most about this hotel is the overall... more
