Well where do i start. When we arrived, thought i was entering the adams familys house. Then she took us to our room, this is when she told us there was no lights on the second floor. there was a power cut, as you can imagine dark small landings with small narrow stairs, was not good. Then going into both... more

I have never had such an awful experience! Not only is this hotel dirty - room hadnt been cleaned, dust everywhere, mould in the shower etc some of my belongings went missing during my stay. The management team were very unhelpful and had a negative attitude when I complained that some of my belongings were not in my room. I... more

Revolting. I wouldnt recommend any one stay here. Dark and depressing, untidy, broken shower, broken lights and i wouldnt eat from that kitchen. I have just got back from a nightmare time at this hotel. That terrible infact we had to vacate it and go to another BnB down the road, which also turned out to be cheaper and significantly... more

Our friend had booked this hotel after finding it on the internet and we booked directly with them over the phone and gave our credit card details. We should have known when our friend checked in in the morning and immediately phoned us to tell us to find somewhere else. We didn't have time to find anywhere else and it... more

Visited with 14 girls and had a top time, the hotel pulled out all the stops and we found beds were spotless. Yes the hotel maybe is a bit dated but have started renovating. Debbie a top hostess went out of her way to look after us. If you want a no frills place to stay where groups are welcome... more

Please do not stay in this hotel. It was filthy, it had a horrible smell, there was three of us in one tiny room with two single beds, the third bed was three pieces of foam with stains all over it so we had to share single beds, the outside looked like the building was going to fall down. On... more

I visited for night and was given a twin room as no singles were left. First the positives... It was friendly, beds and linen were clean, good breakfast, and not bad value. However, my room did not appear to have been recently vacuumed as there were bits on the floor and dust in the corners. The shared bathroom was also... more

I stayed for 9 nights at the Manxdene Hotel in September 2006 while attending the semi-final and final stages of the Leeds International Piano Competition. It was a largely enjoyable experience for many reasons: 1. The close proximity of the hotel to the Great Hall (6 minutes walk) where all the solo performances were held, the free shuttle bus service... more

We had one night at the Manxdene recently - in Room 10 on the top floor. The room was very clean and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was bright, clean and modern. The linen was good quality and clean. There was a small television in the room and we were pleased to find not only tea and coffee making facilities, but... more
