Location is out of town, taxi from hotel to the town center - 7-10 pounds, breakfast is good, but not cheap. Hotel is not noisy, cleanness of the room is ok, atmosphere in the hotel is old, but they have renovated rooms. There is no hairdryer in the room. This hotel is not value for money. more

I loved my 12-day stay at the Thistle. My previous stays in Aberdeen were the Hilton Treetops, the Royal Hotel and the Brentwood Hotel. Thistle Altens is by far the best. I stayed here for a work event and was lucky to get a refurbished room. A nice size room with a huge bed, dressing gown & slippers. The pool & jacuzzi were clean and everything worked. Didn't eat in much, but breakfasts were good and the potato wedges were excellent. more
