Ok so right before I left I read all of the horrible reviews on this hotel and I was more than a little afraid. So how was it? Great! Clean, refurbished room, hearty breakfast included, helpful service and 10 minutes away from the city centre by bus. Considering the price, the location and what you get - it's a great... more

I found the Regency Hotel adequate for our needs! The room was GREAT and I have absolutely no complaints in that department. It was fancy, for the price paid and I would suggest it to anyone! Of course, it was a renovated room- so it is best to ask for one, although I am sure that soon enough the entire... more

After reading the reviews on this site about this hotel, I must admit that I was not looking forward to staying here. Some of the reviews suggested requesting a renovated room, so that's what I did via email to the hotel. I got a response right away saying that I would be staying in a renovated room, so I was... more

This hotel is HORRENDOUS. Where do I start...... 1. The sound-proofing between the walls is NON-existant. I could hear the people next door talking, going to the toilet, phones ringing etc...every word they said. And they were not even being loud! 2. I tried to order room service one night and they receptionist told me no, he was too busy... more

This hotel is an absolute DUMP! Avoid at all costs. The rooms are disgusting, cold and mouldy. The Elevators are death traps. Oh and not forgetting, if you aren't lucky enough to get one of the very few parking spaces directly outside the door then you have to pay for your parking in the hotel carpark!! As if they aren't... more

The Regency Hotel is appalling. The rooms can only be described as '1970's brown'. The bathroom was tiny, the bath was chipped and the tiles old. The shower curtain was ineffective, leading to the whole room becoming wet. The bed was comfortable and clean but the room was very cold. The first room they gave us had a broken window... more

Having read other reviews of town centre hotels being noisy I chose the Regency as an out of town place that would offer a good nights rest - how wrong could I be! First the incessant intrusive noise from the function room on every one of the 4 nights we stayed meant there was no sleep possible and then the... more

Stayed this week for 2 nights on a deal. 99 euro per adult for 2 nights BB and 1 dinner. 2 kids stay free in the room- only paying for meals. Requested a refurbished room after reading some other reviews here. Room was really spacious and nicely done. Extremely clean and all the hotel staff were really friendly. The meals... more

September 2008 Co Tyrone, Ireland Stayed at this hotel in September with my partner as we were in Dublin for a weekend sporting event. I had been told that the hotel had a new extension opened and was recommended to ask for one of these rooms when booking, however upon arrival and receiving my key, i can only describe the... more
