Stayed in hotel over bank holiday weekend/dublin marathon weekend. Hotel was very busy but staff coped very well and managed to keep smiling. We found the staff very helpful when it came to giving directions and had a good local knowledge of Dublin. Breakfast was great, good choice of cereals, toast and cooked breakfast. We also had our evening meal... more

Stayed two nights on business/pleasure trip and got upgraded to the executive floor. Very comfortable - although the provision of bells-and-whistles on the TV (internet, movies-on-demand etc) made the whole thing madly confusing and slow to respond. As others have said, the breakfast room is the let down. On Sunday morning it was in complete chaos - and I think... more

My daughter and I stayed for just one night and were very pleased with our choice of hotel at very reasonable prices for an almost city centre location. The hotel is very easy to find and is no more than a 10 minute walk to Grafton Street/Trinity College. Coach stop from the airport is 50 yards away. A tip -... more

Stayed here because we had a rental car and liked the free parking option. Also, we're walkers and didn't mind that it's about a mile to the Liffey. The restaurant here was crowded every night and prices looked reasonable but we walked into town and ate there. We didn't use the car in the city at all. Major pros: price,... more

Good experience overall. Service was a little slow but it was high season so they were jammers. Would recommend the location, close to everything. 15 mins to city centre walk time and the Canal Dock Dart station is a stones throw. more

The hotel was average. Not far from Center of the City. The restaurant was excellent. Room were small. No air conditioning and twin beds are not my favorite. Limited tv stations. Front desk was not very helpful. Internet access could be free or less expensive. more

This was a good hotel to stay at in Dublin. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist shopping and attraction areas and is located in a safe and upscale part of town. It was a little hard to find but has turned out to be a nice hotel to stay at. more

This is a very good hotel in an excellent location. Five of us (using 3-rooms), experienced none of the problems mentions by some other travellers, and in our opinion, the hotel is far better than many other 3-star hotels at which we have stayed. Our bedrooms were immaculately clean as were the bathrooms. The staff were most helpful, and the... more

I stayed at the Grand Canal Hotel in Dublin for one night. It is easy to reach with the shuttle busses. The room was perfect: spacious, clean and quiet. The service from the staff was excellent, too. I can highly reccomend this place. more
