Just returned from a 4 night stay at this well-appointed hotel on the border between DC and Maryland. It was easy to find and well located for access to the Metro and bus system, both of which we used a lot. Also there are 4-5 moderately priced restaurants nearby which cost less than those closer to the city center. The... more

Great location, Large Room with small serving area that included bar sink and glasses. Only downfall was the refrig. seem to have not been working well and the room could have been a little cleaner (Band-Aid was still stuck on the bathroom floor). Even though the hotel was not sold out we could not check in until 2:30. Our luggage... more

If it were not for one very significant problem I would have given this hotel 5-stars. I will detail that problem at the end of my review. I choose this hotel as the base for a family vacation to Washington D.C. based on the reviews that had been posted on this website and overall those reviews were spot on. This... more

We just returned home from our first trip to D.C. I was concerned that this hotel was at the outskirts of the city and that travel time to the monuments and museums might be inconvenient, but I was wrong. The place is absolutely beautiful and in an upscale area. The Metro runs right from the lower level of the hotel... more

We chose this hotel because of the reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! We are a family of five with 3 small children under 10 years old. The hotel rooms have two rooms and 2 tvs- very important when my son wanted to watch a different movie than my daughters. Also, we enjoyed the mall on the lower... more

Stayed for seven days with three teenage children in July of this year. Large corner suite on third floor. Quiet, clean and spacious. Check in was straightforward, welcome letter personally addressed in suite with complementary water. Breakfast was excellent with the best omlettes ever! Attended manager's reception on three occassions and a variety of snacks and chips were on offer as... more

Enjoyed my stay here very much! I took the Metro from National to the hotel - there's an entrance into the hotel from the station. The first couple of floors are department stores with the hotel occupying the top floors. Breakfast was great - lots of selection and hot food including omelets cooked as you want. There's also a Starbucks... more

I decided to book this hotel after reading many above average reviews for it on the internet. Since I'm the planner, I booked 2 rooms for 4 nights for my family, husband 41, me 41, children 14, 12 and my parents in their 70's for our visit to DC. We booked far in advance and was able to get, what... more

Stayed in June based on Trip Advisor feedback. Hotel is on top of a small mall in Chevy Chase plaza. Area is likened to the "Beverly Hills of DC" with Bloomingdales, Saks and others in the same block. Metro stop is literally underneath the hotel. It is the Friendship Heights stop on the red line approx 15-20 minutes into the... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night while on a business trip. This location was picked because it would be very convenient for my next morning's meeting. Check-in was quick and courteous. The Embassy Suites usually has large rooms and this was no exception. The room was clean, well supplied with toiletries and the King-sized bed was extremely comfortable.... more
