Am a Singaporean.Stayed one night at The Scarlet with 2 other couples for the weekend get-away.We were impressed with the welcoming clean rooms. We booked the Deluxe but the staff upgraded us to Premium and Executive. The rooms, indeed stunning!Staff were smart and jovial.Very nice lobby landing floor plan and toilets were sparkling clean. We stayed in the Scarlet Hotel for two nights and we thought it was a great alternative to the faceless business hotels in the city centre. I must admit the rooms were small, but we felt they fell into the "perfectly formed" category of that particular descriptive term. We loved all the small touches in the room which are never... more

Black, red, gold, silk, velvet, chadeliers, mirrors. What an hotel for a romantic holiday or honeymoon. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfasts were amazing. Its the little touches like the water melon cut into heart shapes and the bright petals scattered over the eggs benedict. Some one with a real eye for detail has set this place up.... more

The blurb on Expedia.com clearly stated that the standard/superior rooms offered "No windows" so I paid the extra thinking that the deluxe rooms would have at least one. Wrong! Only a few deluxe rooms actually have windows and you have to make this request when booking (and of course there's no guarantee you'll get one). I also requested a room... more

I have read some great and some very negative reviews of this hotel so needed to add to them! The hotel is tiny, but I already new it would be as it quite clearly states SO on the website that it is a collection of tiny little shop's. It set just outside the city centre in China town which was... more

It was a nice stay. The receptionists were helpful & friendly. But, if the breakfast can have more options, it will be perfect!! more

Due to us being there during the Grand Prix the room rates were extorntionate for the size of the room even after we were upgraded from a Deluxe room. Very expensive restaurant/bar and not worth it. Hopefully this was due to this particular period. However a funky little hotel that ticks all the right boxes for young funky people! more

No wi-fi. Moving from the check in to the actual room was inconvenient as the hotel is very narrow and long and you feel a little claustrophobic inside. The rooms look good in photos but in real life the hotel already feels old. The rooms have no windows and in the daytime it feels strange having no sunlight. The Tv... more

We had a premium room. Hype place, very nice and clean. staff very professional. bathroom with shower and bath with also shower, incredibly fluffy bathrobes. Bed confortable cd with music 'scarlet', kind of lounge music, very cool. The lobby is gothic chic style. I would definetly recommand this place! Also for our honeymoon, we had a plate with strawberries and... more
