This must be the very edge of gentrification in SoMa. 5th Street after dark is getting a touch too much for European visitors - better to come in from 4th. The hotel claims to be almost brand new but several of the fixtures in the bedroom (14th floor) were starting to feel tired. If you like to spend your quality... more

Stayed at the New InterContinental San Francisco. Good location, next to Market Street. Everything is new, design very modern. Rooms are convenient, but lack charme. I preferred to stay at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill, where I stayed last year. I guess it is great for convention visitors. Did not have a chance to test the restaurants. Staff... more

Staying at the InterContinental San Francisco was a sharp departure from where I normally stay while vacationing in San Francisco. I have had the pleasure at staying at all three of Mobil-rated five-star hotels in San Francisco and wanted to try something different this time around. I gave the hotel five-stars in consideration of the how much I paid for... more

We arrived in San Francisco after a short stay in San Jose with relatives in mid September. All I can say is wow it is much colder in San Francisco so make sure to take along a warm top or jacket. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff. The hotel lobby is uber modern but... more

This is a beautiful brand new hotel very close to the convention center. The staff were very courteous, the rooms totally modern and excellent. Did not have the gloomy dark looks or tight quarters of some other modern hotels. If you have business around the SF convention center, this is the number one choice hands down. more

We stayed at this property and booked the California Staycation package that they are offering to CA residents through the end of the year. The package includes free parking, a $20 gas card, and breakfast for 2 at their restaurant in addition to the room. We had booked a regular room but at check-in on a Friday night, were offered... more

Earlier this year I stayed at the InterContinental for my birthday. The hotel was only a month old and is only a few blocks away from my work so I'd seen the building during it's entire construction process. On the outside it looks very hip and modern. On the inside, it's just as cool and hip. The hotel is beautiful... more

Stayed here October 08. Door staff very welcoming and friendly, booked into room very efficiently, all staff we met during our stay were very nice. On entering the room first thing you notice is the superb floor to ceiling windows with lovely view across the bay. Great ! No housekeeping issues, the room was spotlessly clean, as was the whole... more

This was the sencond time that I stayed at the hotel and I was very disapointed. It went from 4 1/2 Star (at theri opeining back in March 2008) to 3 star. Go with other 4 star hotels. You save $$ and extra 10 minutes walk to Union Sq. more
