Could have stayed at a large Union Square hotel like the Hilton or Parc 55 for less money, but chose the Inn due to very positive reviews and the appeal of a small "boutique" type hotel. If you had a check list for a city centre hotel it would include (as essentials) a convenient location in a good part of town, comfort and a reasonably quiet room. The list might include ( as desirable) a decent breakfast and wine/snacks in the evening, all complimentary. You would expect to pay a high price for all af this.... more
