I booked this hotel for 100/night through priceline and actually met someone who got a bid accepted for 75 so DO NOT pay full price. We got a room on the 17th floor looking over the bay which was beautiful and well worth the money. As far as asthetics & looks, this hotel has it all -- a beautiful, trendy... more
Stayed for business in early October & found hotel to be really comfortable and very clean. Here is an overview: PROS: -95% of staff I encountered from desk to room service were professional, courteous, informed -Large, comfortable lounging settee in front of large window -Bed linens & mattress are FANTASTIC!! Slept like a newborn baby -Meticulously clean -42" LCD TV... more
We stayed there for five nights attending a conference in the hotel. Got a special conference rate of about $200 plus tax. Although the location was not bad, I would likely consider a downtown hotel if going to Boston just as a tourist, especially if the rate at the Renaissance were much more than we paid. As noted, the hotel... more
I booked my trip through Priceline and at first i was a bit apprehensive because the parking was so horribly expensive. I went for a weekend and thought from the other reviews that the area was abandoned at night. It was not. Parking is ample at night but you must pay the meters $1.00 per hour at 8am, Although I... more
We stayed for one night in August, with a late arrival, on the eve of a cruise departing from the Black Falcon Terminal. The hotel is lovely, the desk personnel helpful, and the room extremely comfortable. We were able to walk over to the cruise ship terminal in the late morning. It was a warm day but even with luggage... more
New (Jan, 2008) hotel, with very clean and spacious rooms. The beds are great --- terrific mattress and linens. The staff was very pleasant during our stay, and the express checkout was a timesaver. There is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby, which we found very convenient for a quick, light breakfast each morning. (There is also, of course, a... more
Stayed here for a night in between trans-atlantic flights so wanted somewhere quiet. There was a concert on the waterfront which went on until midnight (not the hotel's fault - granted), however the walls were thin and neighbours were noisy. Room light and spacious but would not return. more
I stayed at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront hotel for two nights in September while attending a conference. There’s a lot to recommend about this hotel, as well as a few drawbacks. It’s new (opened in February 2008) and it looks it. Most everything is shiny, polished, and not showing any wear, which is as it should be. There’s a “water... more
Beautiful new hotel in the waterfront area. It's about twenty minutes from the center of the city on the subway. The rooms are a decent size and very comfortable. The walls might be on the thin side, but I did not have a problem with noise. Check in took less than one minute. The subway is a block away, and... more
