I had high hopes for this place after reading reviews here, but the China Boat suffers from being a relatively overpriced restaurant with unenthusiastic wait staff, and complacent from being in a touristy environment. With a party of eight, we were able to sample several dishes; Hot and Sour soup, Szechuwan Chicken, Szechuwan Pork, Hot Szechuwan Bean with Minced Beef, Beef with Broccoli, Kwoh Te (Pot Sticker), and one of the daily specials Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper. We ordered a take-out dinner from China Boat and were quite satisfied. The Moo-Shu Chicken was quite tasty as was the Shrimp and vegetables. Good size portions. The place needs a little paint on the outside and a better landscaping, but there is nothing wrong with the food. Prices are quite reasonable. more
We went to the China Boat on 01/02/08 for dinner. There is plent of off street parking. The drinks were excellent, and the service very friendly. The food was 'OK' -- I disagree with the other reviewer who thought that the food was terrible. But there is no doubt that the food is not the strong point of this place.... more
This place was close to our condo so we decided to try it. The food was really bad and I would not go there again. The service was OK and the setting is nothing special. There are other restaurants in this area which are much better. more
